Snow Days threaten Sports Camps

It was just a few years ago that we used to run our Sports Camps a week earlier than we do now. As more and more schools opted for a pre-Labor Day return, the last day of school became later and later (but that debate is for another day), prompting the move of sports camp week to the last full week of June. This year's dates are Monday June 22 through Friday June 26 for soccer and basketball camps. We thought we were safe, but there already some school calendars (especially in NY, where school does not start until after Labor Day) running into that week, and with yet another snow day today, there are now many local schools inching closer to late June. If there are any additional snow days, it will become difficult for our coaches who will then still be in school--as well as limiting participation to those who are done with school by June 19. We will keep everyone posted, and should have a final answer once the "snow season" is over, which can't happen soon enough for most of us.
