Waht happened to pennant races?

Not much baseball interest as the final weekend of the regular season approaches, with all the races just about wrapped up. One of Brock's favorite sound effects is to "beep...beep...beep" when the big trucks are in reverse. On Wednesday, when he heard the sound and started imitating it, I had to tell him that there was no sense in going to the window to see a truck or tractor, as the beeping sound he was hearing was the Red Sox backing into the post-season. Could be some decent football excitement, with Packers and Vikings, as well as Jets and Saints, not to mention the locals. If all goes right, Halloween #3 will include a Yankees vs Red Sox ALDS match-up. Quick reminder to our long-term campers that you will be receiving a form from the Town of Preston for personal property tax on your RV. Even though we must provide all the data we have to the town based on the long-term RVs that are here, you still need to complete that form or you can be hit with a surcharge. Looks like there may be some precipitation on Saturday...have heard everything from scattered showers to isolated thunderstorms, so I guess we will have to wait and see. For those seeking a list of seasonal sites for 2010, we have left phone messages with the handful of seasonals that have not yet responded...and we need to hear from them by Sunday, October 4, or that site will be added to the list for the newcomers looking for sites.
